A powerful three-movement work exploring the unsettling world of misinformation, political division and the struggle to distinguish truth from noise. Moving through Fear, Hope and Solidarity, Disinformation! builds from an atmosphere of confusion towards a defiant final “March for Truth”. The work was performed by Swedish championship band Solna Brass in 2023

Commissioned to celebrate 100 years of Longwell Green Orchestra, A Symphony of Centuries tells the story of an orchestra and its community across a century of change. From 1920s Charleston rhythms and reflective hymn-inspired writing to remembrance, nostalgia and a triumphant finale, the work celebrates history, resilience and the extraordinary continuity of community music-making. It premiered on 8 November 2025.

Bright, energetic and full of movement, Adventures for Strings is one of Joe’s earliest concert works, originally premiered for string orchestra in 2012. Its lively writing sends the strings through a succession of rhythmic and melodic adventures, balancing playful momentum with lyrical passages and the cinematic instincts that would increasingly shape his later music.
